Mykola Tomenko: Dendropark "Kachanivka" may become one of the Centers of Ukrainian Cultural Life
"Mykola Tomenko: Dendropark "Kachanivka" may become one of the centers of Ukrainian cultural life", - the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, M. Tomenko declared during the meeting in National historical-cultural reserve "Kachanivka". In the meeting took part: the First Vice-Minister on Culture, Chairman of the supervision Council of the Reserve, Vladyslav Kornienko, People´s Deputy of Ukraine, Valeriy Dubilia and reserve personnel.
As it is known, M. Tomenko was the initiator of number of activities on the revival of the reserve, the aim of which was the attraction of interest to little known but real treasure of Ukrainian culture National historical-cultural reserve "Kachanivka".
The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada has informed that during his work in Government, the reconstruction of the Dendropark was actively financed.
"I am convinced that nowadays the financing of restoration of al the buildings of the reserve should be prolonged so that "Kachanivka" can turn to be interesting not only for Ukrainian tourists but for the foreign as well". He suggested that the public men and businessmen should continue the initiated work.
During the today´s meeting, the project of renovation of the central park alley at the expenses of the public men and businessmen was discussed.
Mykola Tomenko called everyone to be optimists "crisis comes and vanishes, still objects of Ukrainian culture must be revived".
During the visiting Chernihiv region, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has also met the students of philological and historical faculties of Nizhyn Pedagogical University and has presented to them his book "Mykola Gogol, Ukrainian Romantic"
